About The Position

This Controller position is the lead interface with the plant operating committee to support them in defining the Strategy to deliver the volume and develop roadmaps to eliminate waste to drive profitability. We are looking for a dynamic personality that has strong business acumen, with the ability to relate and influence our operating partners. Candidates must excel in modeling changes that occur in the business to help make better decisions. Educating our operating partners on critical decision making so they can influence the performance of the plant real time. Having a continuous improvement mindset throughout the operation to drive cost saving opportunities and driving behaviors throughout the operations. Looking for a change agent that enjoys looking for ways to modernize the business and find best practices to implement into the plant that will improve both, the operations as well as the controllers’ office. This role requires 5 days per week onsite at the Lima Engine Plant in Lima, OH.

Requirements

  • MBA (preferably in Finance or Accounting).
  • Experience in the following system tools: Alteryx, PowerApps, Power BI, Python, Google Cloud.
  • Min 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing plant environment.
  • Required Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of budget and deployment to the operational departments.
  • Interface with the operating team to address cost issues/problems they may encounter.
  • Develop cost roadmaps that eliminate waste.
  • Present cost operating system to Operating Committee (OCM).
  • Complete business case analysis to find optimal cost opportunities.
  • Actively pursue cost recoveries from suppliers for part shortages and incoming quality issues.
  • Manage all the above to complete the monthly close and forecast.
  • Ensure controls are in place that adhere to internal control requirements.
  • Discover new technologies and implement them in the operations to help modernize.
