About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee the financial operations of our multi-specialty Dental group. Under the direction of the CFO, the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing accurate financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Evaluate and improve processes within the accounting department
• Implement and maintain internal controls
• Work closely with external auditors
• Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships
• Assess financial performance and provide analysis to senior management
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business decisions
• Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard company assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Proven experience in a similar role with strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with Sage Intacct Software highly preferred
• Knowledge of accrual accounting in healthcare
• Experience working in a company with audited financials
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast and develop budgets effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across departments.
