About the position

The Control Room Operator Position is responsible for the flow and quality of the materials processed in the Anodizing Department. This role involves performing daily equipment inspections, calibrations, and verifying the temperature of treatment tanks to ensure proper operation before production begins. The operator uses a Konica Minolta Color Meter to verify the quality and consistency of the coloring operation and adjusts the voltage and time as needed. Responsibilities also include recording voltages, current, time, and temperature of the process tanks to ensure consistency and quality, visually inspecting all process tanks every hour, and manually operating all the cranes to limit downtime and ensure defect-free material in case of a crane malfunction or any line trouble. The operator is also responsible for weekly cleaning of Anodizing, Coloring, and Electro-Deposition terminal stands, keeping the assigned work area clean at all times (5S), assisting in all scheduled maintenance activities for the department, including yearly shutdowns, and performing other duties as required by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED (minimum).
  • At least 1 year experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Preferred experience working with chemicals.
  • Basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
