About The Position

The Contracting Specialist II is responsible for supporting agents and agencies in contracting with various health, life, and annuity insurance carriers. This role manages electronic documents, ensures accurate and timely filing, and maintains data integrity across CRM and proprietary systems. The specialist works closely with agents, agency partners, sales teams, and internal departments to facilitate effective working relationships and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 0-2 years of data entry or related experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, positive, and professional attitude; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and flexibility.
  • Ability to coordinate and track multiple activities, ensuring goals and SLAs are met.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and business platforms (e.g., SureLC, AgencyBloc).
  • Knowledge of contact management systems, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
  • Customer service orientation and ability to resolve issues promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Review agent contracts for accuracy, obtain necessary information, and submit completed contracts to appropriate insurance carriers.
  • Prepare, sort, and enter contracting documents/data into business platforms (e.g., SureLC, AgencyBloc) and maintain agent profiles.
  • Coordinate closely with Sales, New Business, and Commission teams to ensure efficient business operations.
  • Provide agents with CE, licensing, and product training resources.
  • Act as a licensing and contracting resource for staff; cross-train on New Business and assist as needed.
  • Review and process applications for completeness; order initial requirements for application processing.
  • Communicate case status clearly and regularly to agents.
  • Work directly with insurance carriers to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Assist agents/advisors with new business underwriting processing questions.
  • Serve as operator overflow by taking phone calls as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
