Contract Technical Recruiter | Redwood City, CA (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
About The Position
This is a contract role for a Technical Recruiter or Sourcer with hands-on experience hiring Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) across the US (Bay Area) and Europe. The role is with a well-funded frontier AI company that is building the next generation of multimodal intelligence. The FDE team is a critical part of the company's commercial strategy, focusing on simulation and robotics. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with hiring leadership, operate with a high degree of ownership, and potentially convert to a full-time role. The recruiter will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting FDE candidates who possess a blend of technical depth and customer-facing skills, managing the candidate experience, and collaborating with the hiring team.
Requirements
- Demonstrated history of hiring Forward Deployed Engineers or closely analogous profiles (Solutions Engineers, Implementation Engineers, Customer Engineers at companies like Palantir, Anduril, Scale AI, or similar).
- In-house tech recruiting experience; agency background alone is not a fit.
- Recruiting focus in US (Bay Area) and/or European markets.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with lean process and high ownership.
- Bay Area based, available to work from the Redwood City office 3 days per week.
- Available to start within 1-2 weeks.

- Multi-market experience a plus but not required.
Responsibilities

- Pipeline FDE candidates across the Bay Area and/or Europe.
- Screen candidates for the right mix of technical depth and customer-facing orientation.
