About the position

The Content Management System Clerk is responsible for supporting the operational performance of the content management system (CMS) and enhancing the relationship between the CMS team and business partners. This role involves auditing content, developing reports, providing technical expertise, and ensuring consistent use of the CMS to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Support the operational performance of the content management system (CMS).
  • Regularly audit content to ensure alignment with content management principles, style guides, and business rules.
  • Develop reports and analyze CMS data.
  • Provide technical expertise and process improvement support to users of the CMS.
  • Maintain administrative governance over the CMS, troubleshooting and resolving technical and user issues.
  • Manage the migration of content libraries and processes into the CMS.
  • Publish communications to users regarding methodologies, new features, downtime, and upgrades.
  • Develop and document processes and policies for consistent CMS use.
  • Prepare concise and actionable reports for end users and managers, analyzing CMS usage data.
  • Provide training on the CMS, processes, and policies to new users.
  • Support assigned projects to ensure effective content management processes.
  • Participate in collaborative meetings with teams and stakeholders to support operational requirements.
  • Engage with IT to support testing of system updates and integrated tools.
  • Recommend improvements to the CMS, including features, workflows, and user experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience administering a CMS or similar tool, or a Master Library & Information Sciences (MLIS) degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational abilities to coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, deadlines, and a passion for accuracy.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and communication.
  • Self-reliant with problem-solving capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to think critically and creatively and make decisions based on instructions and experience.
  • Ability to quickly understand current business drivers and adapt to challenges and opportunities.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Teams, MS Office suite.
