About the position

The Content Coordinator at James River Church is responsible for managing and coordinating content across various platforms, including social media, email campaigns, and church television. This role involves maintaining a content calendar, creating social media strategies, and ensuring engaging content is produced for church events and communications. The position requires collaboration with the Director of Communication and other team members to enhance the church's online presence and communication effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Communication to maintain and update the Content Calendar.
• Create a content calendar for social media and develop a social media strategy.
• Write and schedule social media posts for lead pastors and James River Church as directed.
• Gather and record quotes during weekly services and church events.
• Work with Digital Marketing to research and test social media trends.
• Collaborate with the Social Media Content Creator to produce engaging content.
• Create an efficient review process for social media content.
• Ensure appropriate programming for James River TV during holiday or sensitive weekends.
• Write the first draft for Intros and Outros for JRTV and video scripts.
• Provide text edits to print pieces and insights to the Director of Communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of social media management and strategies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and Word.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines.
