About the position

The Customer Technical Solutions - Containerization and DevOps Specialist will provide on-site installation, configuration, support, and training for various products in diverse environments, including traditional desktop and cloud-based implementations. This role involves troubleshooting customer issues, documenting interactions in Salesforce, and managing software requests in Azure DevOps. The specialist will also conduct software demonstrations and assist in developing training materials, while collaborating closely with the software team and product managers to enhance customer experience and product integration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site installation, configuration, support, and training for platform, desktop, and mobile products.
  • Document customer interactions in Salesforce and manage software deficiency requests in Azure DevOps.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues via e-mail, phone, and on-site visits.
  • Conduct software demonstrations at trade shows, conferences, and customer sites.
  • Assist with the development of training materials and support sales and marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with software team members and product managers to develop and integrate applications.
  • Implement custom installations and provide technical support for client products at customer sites.

Requirements

  • Must currently possess a U.S. Top Secret clearance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail, design, and UX awareness.
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-moving environment with high expectations.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Remote application support experience.
  • Proficiency with virtual servers, VDI, and hypervisors (Hyper-V and VMware).
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues at both system and application levels.
  • Ability to track down root causes and prepare findings and resolution recommendations.
  • A valid passport and the ability to travel domestically or internationally.
  • Experience with automated provisioning and maintenance of distributed systems on cloud infrastructure.
  • Understanding of micro-services architecture and large container-based distributed systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Information Technology (IT) administrator knowledge with imagery and geospatial analysis experience.
  • Experience in Geospatial software like SOCET GXP and GXP Xplorer Platform.
  • Familiarity with network, compute, storage, and database administration on public cloud infrastructure providers.
