About the position

WSECU is seeking a Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist I or II to join their Consumer Loan Servicing department. This role involves working with consumer lending products and services, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to both branch staff and members. The position offers a chance to be part of a dedicated team that directly impacts WSECU members' experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing new consumer loan activity
  • Maintaining files of existing loans using various software tools and daily reports
  • Reviewing and processing title paperwork for lien perfection
  • Helping branch staff and members navigate WSECU lending products and services
  • Performing loan, share, payment, and error adjustments in Symitar
  • Handling loan payoff requests in a timely and accurate manner
  • Advising on support requests regarding adjustments, credit reporting, and collateral protection insurance
  • Assisting with loan correction requests, including interest calculations and payment adjustments
  • Maintaining detailed knowledge of WSECU consumer loans and current promotions
  • Ensuring accurate and timely filings of all reporting functions related to Consumer Loan Servicing
  • Cross-training and supporting daily operations in all areas within the department
  • Responding to requests through mail, email, chat, or webex messaging systems
  • Supporting training for other Loan Servicing employees as needed
  • Complying with federal regulations and credit union guidelines
  • Meeting established handle time goals for communication
  • Recommending and assisting in implementing process improvements

Requirements

  • Two (2) years' experience with loans or loan servicing for Specialist I
  • Four (4) years' experience with loans or loan servicing for Specialist II
  • Experience with Episys/Symitar, Temenos, CUDL, and Meridian Link (preferred)
  • Broad knowledge and practical experience with credit union or financial institution lending operations
  • Ability to utilize office automation and operate in a network environment
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written, and telephone communication skills
  • Excellent conceptual, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle sensitive information

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with a state DOL/DMV title tracking system (preferred)
  • Three (3) years working with Episys/Symitar for Specialist II
  • Experience with compliance application in lending operations
