The primary purpose of this position is to assist First Commerce in fulfilling our Vision of Empowering Generations, Transforming Communities. This is achieved through delivering Remarkable Member Service as defined by our Service Standards as well as building and maintaining strong member relationships through identification of member's financial needs and effectively recommending appropriate products and services to meet those needs. The Loan Operations Supervisor leads team members of the Central Loan Support Center team in day-to-day operations; provides leadership, training and guidance to Consumer processing/Support team members, coordinates staff for coverage in all related areas of the department, communicates with Financial Centers, Business Services Team, and Accounting to promote efficient workflow and assure that the productivity meets the needs of the internal and external customers. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Supervises Consumer Processing and Support team, assuring credit union is meeting all compliance for servicing consumer loans and FHLB requirements for Home Equity Loans. Stays current on loan policy changes and regulations; and assists with maintaining compliance throughout the department. * Provides open communication to Loan Operations Manager when Service Standards cannot be met due to training needs, equipment problems, quality of work received from others. * Supervises Home Equity, Processing, pipeline, closing and some post-closing processes. * Responsible for the review and verification of Lien perfection reports on ELT titling system assuring timely lien perfection and low number on outstanding title work this is an area examiner will review during NCUA audits. * Responsible for oversight of Insurance Processing and force place processes and procedures assuring compliance, monitoring reports, and performing periodic audits to assure funds are posted timely and efficiently. * Supervises, motivates, evaluates, audits and develops team members to their full potential to ensure professional and quality service is provided to members and stakeholders, while concurrently understanding their challenging circumstances. * Communicates daily with staff to resolve questions or to interpret policies and procedures. The position is also responsible for reviewing, updating and informing staff of changes to policies and procedures, new services, and government regulations. Leadership Duties: * Ensures that the Central Loan Support Center (CLSC) team delivers prompt, accurate, and courteous external and internal service in accordance with our Service Standards. * Oversees the quality and speed of department team. Offers and manages clear expectations of service levels. * Prepares and/or analyzes relevant special reports for distribution to Management, while maintaining departmental records and files. * Works within an approved budget; Develops and implements cost saving measures and conserves organizational resources. * Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, development, coaching, counseling, evaluating, and overall leadership management of credit union staff. * Sets and achieves challenging goals; Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles; Measures self against standard of excellence; Takes calculated risks to accomplish goals. Other Responsibilities: * Performs job duties in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration, the State of Florida, and any applicable State laws for financial centers located in other States. * Complies with Reg E, BSA, OFAC, and CIP requirements such as reporting suspicious or unusual activity to manager. * Fully supports in actions and words First Commerce's Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Service Standards. * Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: * Demonstrates specific knowledge of documents required for consumer and/or home equity loans. * Working knowledge of post-closing functions with consumer loans and quality control. * General knowledge of financial institution operations, procedures, policies and products. * Operates Windows based computer and other office equipment with an Intermediate level of skill and knowledge. * Demonstrated ability to motivate staff, maintain and reinforce morale and build a collaborative work team environment. * Ability to lead a diverse project team, manage multiple project tasks, concurrently and effectively coordinate and control cross-functional implementation plans. * Ability to interact effectively and establish collaborative professional working relationships with team members, peers, and managers. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; two-year (AA) or four-year (BA, BS) degree from an accredited university in a related field preferred; * Significant experience in financial services, bank, credit union, consumer or commercial lending can be substituted for degree. * Minimum of 3+ years experience in Consumer Loan Processing and/or Consumer Loan Servicing. * Prior experience with consumer loan closing, audit and/or quality control is preferred.
