About the position

We are looking for a Consumer Insights, Strategist Manager who will join our team. The Strategist is a senior individual contributor responsible for bridging the gap between research execution and strategic consulting within the SMG business units. This role involves partnering with business units to understand their goals, prioritize insights initiatives, and push back on goals or hypotheses when necessary. With a strong foundation in research methodologies and deep business acumen, the Strategist ensures that insights projects align with business objectives and deliver measurable impact. Acting as both a consultant and an advocate for the consumer, this role focuses on guiding business units toward effective, data-driven strategies while collaborating with the broader insights team to bring strategic recommendations to life. The Strategist speaks the language of both business and insights & analytics, translating between them to ensure that consumer needs and data-backed insights drive decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a bridge between business units and the insights team, translating business needs into research strategies and consumer insights into actionable business language.
  • Push for consumer-centric, data-driven decision-making within business units, advocating for the consumer and challenging unsupported assumptions.
  • Work with fellow strategist and the leader of the insights organization to identify and leverage cross-business unit and enterprise-wide opportunities for insights.
  • Collaborate with business units to prioritize insights initiatives that align with strategic objectives.
  • Leverage research expertise to critically evaluate business goals and hypotheses, providing guidance on effective research-backed strategies.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Psychology, Behavioral Science, Statistics, Consumer Insights, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in consulting roles with expertise in consumer insights, research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative), and business strategy.
  • Strong advocacy for consumer needs, challenging unsupported business assumptions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially in delivering insights to senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and relationships across an organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in consulting, project management, and/or advanced research methodologies.
  • Experience integrating research into business strategies and working within business units to drive consumer-centered decisions.
