About the position

BU Engagement Leads within the Technology PMO partner with business unit PMO leaders to maximize investments in their assigned space. This role collaborates with Business Units, PMOs, CTO Operations, Finance, and Vendor Management teams to provide portfolio-level dependency management, investment performance analysis, resource alignment, and guidance through the demand management process.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning within the assigned value stream to ensure efficient use of personnel and financial resources.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders and project managers to address resource constraints, balancing workload demands across the portfolio.
  • Monitor and adjust resource utilization to align with shifting priorities and organizational goals.
  • Provide comprehensive portfolio-level reporting, including status updates, risks/issues/blockers, dependencies, and quarterly delivery schedules.
  • Develop and maintain standardized dashboards and reporting tools to support transparency and decision-making.
  • Ensure timely escalation and resolution of critical risks and issues impacting portfolio performance.
  • Partner with Operations teams to facilitate monthly Domain reporting, ensuring accuracy and consistency in performance metrics.
  • Consolidate data and insights to provide a holistic view of portfolio performance and alignment with operational goals.
  • Guide stakeholders through the demand management process, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and capacity.
  • Facilitate the prioritization of projects within the portfolio based on strategic value, resource availability, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Vendor Management teams to monitor and report on investment performance at the portfolio level.
  • Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and contractual obligations within the portfolio.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on portfolio investment strategies to optimize returns and resource utilization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in program and/or portfolio management, with a focus on technology investments.
  • Demonstrated experience in resource planning, demand management, and financial oversight within a technology environment.
  • Advanced understanding of portfolio management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in project and portfolio management software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Excel, financial tracking software, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Ability to identify and manage risks, dependencies, and resource constraints effectively.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively across the organization, from C-Suite to engineering & product teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications.
