About the position

The Consumer Access Specialist at AdventHealth is responsible for ensuring that patients are properly registered for all service lines. This role involves verifying eligibility, obtaining pre-certifications and authorizations, making financial arrangements, and managing payments for services. The specialist will work closely with clinical partners to maintain open communication and provide exemplary service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients are appropriately registered for all service lines.
• Perform eligibility verification and obtain pre-certifications and authorizations.
• Make financial arrangements and request payments for services.
• Perform cashiering functions and clear registration errors.
• Edit pre-bills and perform other duties as required.
• Maintain a close working relationship with clinical partners to ensure open communication between departments.
• Provide PBX (switchboard) coverage and support as needed.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• One plus years' experience in a related field.
