About the position

The Consultant, Learning Business Partner is responsible for managing the delivery of learning programs within the Supply Chain Academy, focusing on Medical Quality, Global Planning, and Global Logistics. This role involves conducting needs assessments, developing curricula, and collaborating with various business functions to enhance employee development and organizational capability. The position requires strong consulting skills and the ability to adapt to changing business needs while maintaining effective partnerships with instructional design teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Learning Business Partner responsibilities for a subset of the Supply Chain Academy clients including needs assessment, skill gap analysis and curriculum development
  • Liaison with a variety of business functions engaging on large and small projects alike
  • Consults with customers to identify development needs and collaborates with appropriate partners to recommend solutions
  • Works with senior business leaders to develop learning strategy and reports progress and outcomes through a quarterly business review
  • Guides key business initiatives focused on upskilling/reskilling of existing employees
  • Provides ongoing sustainment and measurement of Supply Chain Academy programs
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency, and willing to roll up sleeves, driving for results by set deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs
  • Supports delivery strategy including facilitation
  • Maintains strong partnership with Instructional Design & Development Hub team applying project management methodology; guides subject matter experts in program design and execution
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining vendor relationships
  • Responsible for managing programs successfully including forecast and budget achievement
  • Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models
  • Adapts classroom management/teaching techniques 'on the fly' to a wide variety of classroom situations
  • Uses effective questioning and probing skills to adapt and modify delivery
  • Provides feedback on course design and content to Instructional Design & Development (IDD) team
  • Provides feedback to class participants and business leaders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 5+ years of training and/or HR experience, preferred
  • Strong consulting, influence, and relationship management skills
  • Program design and management experience
  • Demonstrated ability navigating diverse business functions
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and best practices
  • Passion for process improvement and innovation
  • Demonstrates knowledge and effective use of training system technologies, presentation/facilitation tools, techniques, and materials
  • Working knowledge of Instructional Design & Development Lifecycle; familiarity with human centered learning / design thinking preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and work with short timelines
  • Highly motivated, creative, self-sufficient, able to operate effectively with a team
  • Strong work ethic
