About The Position

Join a general contractor supporting the retrofit of an active Amazon distribution center in Jefferson, OH. This role offers the opportunity to oversee safety on a high-profile logistics and industrial project while supporting ongoing operations, contractor coordination, renovation activities, and daily construction work in an occupied facility environment.

Requirements

• OSHA 30 Certification
• 5+ years of field construction safety experience
• Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
• Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
• Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Development
• Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
• Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation
• Working knowledge of Safety Auditing & Compliance Monitoring
• Working knowledge of Multi-Trade Construction Operations
• Working knowledge of Renovation & Retrofit Construction Activities
• Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
• Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work Activities
• Working knowledge of Active Facility Construction Safety
• Working knowledge of Subcontractor Coordination & Oversight

Nice To Haves

• General contractor safety experience
• Distribution center, warehouse, or logistics facility experience
• Experience supporting renovation or retrofit projects in occupied facilities
• CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily safety activities for construction and retrofit operations
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
• Deliver new hire orientations and ongoing safety training
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
• Partner with project management and field supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
• Coordinate safety efforts among multiple trades and subcontractors
• Support safe work practices within an active and operational facility
• Promote a positive safety culture across the project

Benefits

• Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)
• Completion Bonus: $150/month
• Weekly Pay
