About the position

Quilt is a high-growth startup on a mission to move humanity off of fossil fuel heating to fight climate change. We're building the next generation, beautifully designed ductless heat pumps and a delightful customer experience. Quilt is hiring our very first project manager to support end-to-end management of our residential heat pump systems. The perfect candidate will have deep expertise in overseeing construction projects (HVAC is ideal but not required) as well as an excellent track record of customer service. In this role, you will liaise with internal teams (sales, engineering, central ops) to move projects through the various stages as quickly as possible, as well as be the primary point of contact for our customers. Quilt is a customer focused company, so top tier customer service is as much a part of the job as construction expertise. Key metrics for the role are time from sales contract signed to installation, customer satisfaction scores, and achieving budget.

Responsibilities

  • Perform residential customer site visits.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise multiple residential HVAC projects from initiation to completion, on time, within budget and with a great customer experience.
  • Manage contractor partners to quote, schedule and perform additional work.

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience as project manager for HVAC or construction projects.
  • Outstanding customer service and English communication skills.
  • Deep familiarity with California and Bay Area building codes and permitting processes.
  • Familiarity and comfort using project management software.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen required.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Benefits

  • Meaningful equity
  • Top-tier benefits
