About the position

CINFAB is looking for a Project Manager in Lexington, KY. Established in 1981, CINFAB filled the need for a high-quality, competitively priced commercial HVAC sheet metal contractor. Since then, we've grown our operations to include a 40,000-square-foot full-service fabrication shop. And we've expanded our capabilities to meet the specific design, fabrication and installation needs of our customers. Responsibilities

  • Ensure that you have received an adequate turnover of information from Estimating.
  • Develop budget for management review and approval.
  • Develop field and shop labor control documents for management review and approval.
  • Negotiate best responsible buyout of equipment and materials, gain required approval through established submittal process, provide submittal information to all departments supporting the project.
  • Set up a project handoff meeting, providing a complete set of contract drawings, specifications, budgets, filed control documents, procurement log and detailed schedule.
  • Coordinate with field superintendent of manpower needs and manage the manpower planning document weekly.
  • Attend all project planning and scheduling meetings.
  • Manage the procurement process on projects assigned, ensuring timely scheduling, tracking, and delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Nurture and enhance relationships with customers.
  • Select qualified subcontractors and ensure all have updated Master trade agreements.
  • Review and understand contractual responsibilities and communicate clearly with customers regarding scope and costs.
  • Review weekly field and shop labor control documents and update productivity forms.
  • Perform safety audits every month for each project and send to safety director.
  • Review daily reports uploaded by foreman and perform daily safety reports when on jobsite.
  • Ensure company and project safety requirements are understood and followed by all.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship and oversight to all employees.
  • Provide input to continuously improve and enhance all company functions.
  • Participate fully in company training sessions.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry and trades.
  • OSHA 30 training required.
  • Construction project experience and in-depth working knowledge of mechanical, sheet metal and associated building methods.
  • Working knowledge of basic principles of business regarding project oversight and budgeting.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Able to decipher and understand technical drawings and blueprints, manuals and produce specification sheets.
  • Advanced verbal and writing skills.
  • Experience in generating Submittals, Writing RFI's, Processing PO's.
  • Experience in reviewing, submitting and managing Change Orders documents.
  • Experience in Subcontractor Management.
