About The Position
The Construction Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and monitoring various construction activities related to new builds, rebuilds, extensions, expansions, and design planning projects. This role ensures that all projects are completed in accordance with established standards and regulations. The coordinator administers several aspects of construction activities, including planning for materials, labor, and resource allocation. The position requires a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to work with moderate guidance in the field of knowledge. In this role, the Construction Coordinator compiles and coordinates all phases of construction projects, which includes conducting pre-construction meetings, performing site surveys, and managing permit and license applications. The coordinator is also involved in the planning of all facets of the construction process, making decisions on workflow, production planning, and control, as well as managing material and labor costs. Close collaboration with upper management is essential to ensure the successful execution of projects. The Construction Coordinator is tasked with creating cost estimates for new projects, monitoring job costs, evaluating change orders, and controlling the cost of work in progress to stay within budget. This position also supports technicians and the leadership team by coordinating projects and generating logs and reports on construction activities, materials, and expenditures. The coordinator reviews and resolves customer requests and complaints, assists with the annual plant construction budget, and performs field visits to project sites for surveying and monitoring progress. Additionally, the role involves interaction with government officials, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve mutual goals. The Construction Coordinator provides technical advice and engineering support to various departments, ensuring compliance with the National Electric Codes and overseeing subcontractor activities.
