About the position

The Construction Controller position at Magnify is a full-time role focused on overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and construction, ensuring compliance with financial regulations while managing budgets, forecasts, and cost controls. This role requires a self-disciplined leader capable of working independently and effectively delegating responsibilities to ensure team success.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Oversee and manage financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, tracking expenses and comparing them with expected costs.
• Work collaboratively in implementing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports.
• Develop key financial models, forecasts, and comprehensive budgets.
• Manage internal controls and cash flow.
• Assist external auditors as necessary.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Finance, MBA, or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in a leadership position, preferably within an accounting environment.
• Experience with cost accounting and project-based accounting.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Construction Accounting Software.
• Expert knowledge of accounting principles and their application.
• Strong analytical skills and communication skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in project-based accounting (1 year preferred).
