About The Position

JCS Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced Configuration Management Specialist responsible for overseeing all aspects of configuration management planning and execution. This role ensures the integrity and traceability of system requirements, design documentation, and software through effective configuration identification, change control, status accounting, and audits. The ideal candidate will manage and maintain baseline documentation, regulate the change control process to ensure only approved updates are implemented, and track all configuration changes and issues. Additionally, this position supports configuration and software quality assurance audits to verify compliance with established standards and that all baseline requirements are accurately reflected in the final product.

Requirements

• BA/BS in a technical or managerial discipline
• 5 years of experience in configuration management
• Experience with configuration identification and change control processes
• Knowledge of configuration status accounting procedures
• Experience supporting configuration and software quality assurance audits
• Familiarity with requirements and design documentation management

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience supporting DoD, DISA, or Defense Enclave Services (DES) programs
• Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret clearance strongly preferred
• Ability to work on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA
• Experience with DoD configuration management standards and practices
• Familiarity with military software development lifecycle processes
• Background in defense contract configuration audits

Responsibilities

• Develop configuration management planning documentation
• Establish provisions for configuration identification and change control
• Identify and maintain original configuration of requirements and design documentation
• Regulate change processes to ensure only approved changes are incorporated
• Track all problems and changes in product documents and software
• Report changes and current configuration status
• Support audits to verify baseline requirements are met
• Support software quality assurance process audits
