About the position

The Concrete Superintendent at Benchmark General Contractors is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of construction projects in Fort Myers, FL. This role involves managing scheduling, quality control, and site safety while adhering to company policies and procedures. The Superintendent will ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, while also supervising subcontractors and maintaining effective communication with project personnel.

Responsibilities

• Generate the primary and two-week look-ahead schedules and weekly updates.
• Monitor the performance of field operations and assist in primary subcontractor scopes.
• Supervise subcontractors and vendors.
• Manage quality control on-site.
• Ensure jobsite safety and security.
• Review submittals and prepare daily reports.
• Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings.
• Maintain as-built drawings and direct project close-out.
• Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of the project and arrange assignment of project personnel.
• Identify changes in scope or differing conditions and assist the Project Manager in securing appropriate change orders for project cost and time.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to subcontractor and vendor performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading construction projects as a Superintendent.
• Experience in commercial and residential construction, with multifamily experience being a plus.
• Ability to understand contracts and manage a team effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
