About the position

The Compounder I position at Synergy Flavors involves working in a flavors manufacturing facility where the primary responsibility is to compound various ingredients to create flavor compounds. This role requires operating machinery, following strict instructions for measuring and mixing raw materials, and ensuring the quality and consistency of the final products. The position also emphasizes adherence to sanitation guidelines and proper documentation of the compounding process.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard instructions to measure or weigh ingredients
• Lift heavy drums and bags while wearing proper PPE
• Monitor equipment, control temperatures, and ensure consistency of mixes
• Work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and performing under pressure
• Sample and test various attributes from the mixes after completion
• Follow sanitary guidelines for cleaning and CIP
• Fill out necessary paperwork and batch sheets for compounded mixes

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Some college preferred
• Experience in compounding in other industries
• Basic math skills
• Chemical experience is a plus
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects and priorities
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, including technical teams
• Ability to perform shift work as necessary
