About the position

The Compliance Manager at MIG Services Inc. is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations. This role involves training staff, conducting audits, investigating breaches, and fostering a culture of compliance within the organization. The Compliance Manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams and prepare compliance reports for senior management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
• Train staff on compliance requirements and educate employees.
• Investigate breaches and report any violations to relevant regulatory bodies.
• Conduct regular audits and internal reviews to ensure compliance and identify risks.
• Foster a culture of compliance and promote integrity and accountability throughout the organization.
• Safeguard and secure the company's data.
• Collaborate with HR and legal departments to integrate compliance measures into business processes.
• Monitor changes in legislation and update policies and procedures accordingly.
• Create and maintain a compliance resource library for staff reference.
• Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of compliance management experience, preferably in the Produce or Food & Beverage industry.
• Proven experience in creating, launching, auditing, and maintaining compliance programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and compliance management software.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
