About the position
The Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) Specialist at the University of Idaho is responsible for delivering services that support the Vandal QUEST program, which is designed for dual-enrolled students with intellectual or developmental disabilities. This role focuses on job training and career development activities aimed at improving competitive integrated employment outcomes for participants.
Responsibilities
- Deliver services to support the Vandal QUEST program.
- Develop and implement job training activities in collaboration with Vandal QUEST and ECLIPSE personnel.
- Support career development activities to enhance CIE outcomes for students.
- Engage with students to assess their job training needs and provide appropriate resources.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of job training programs.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Strong understanding of job training and career development principles.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational and community partners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
