About the position

As a Company Police Officer with the North Carolina Metropolitan Special Police Department, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment at various locations. This role involves operating independently while in uniform, deterring unauthorized access, responding to security incidents, and ensuring a visible and professional presence to enhance safety for employees, clients, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of employees, clients, and visitors.
• Patrol premises to detect any suspicious activity, potential hazards, or breaches of company policies.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Investigate and document security incidents, preparing detailed reports.
• Educate employees on security protocols and emergency preparedness.

Requirements

• Certification as a Police Officer for the state of North Carolina.
• Excellent observation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-stress situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to community-focused policing.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening.
• Must be able to pass a background check/criminal history.
• Must possess a smartphone with an active cellular data plan.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time.
