About the position

The Community Relations Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining relationships between the organization and the community. This part-time role focuses on developing outreach strategies to enhance the organization's visibility and engagement, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute community outreach programs to promote organizational initiatives.
  • Manage media relations to ensure positive coverage of events and programs.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences to promote organizational goals.
  • Market events and initiatives through various channels to maximize participation.
  • Deliver public speaking engagements at community events, representing the organization professionally.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying partnership opportunities within the community.

Requirements

  • Strong media relations experience with a track record of successful outreach campaigns.
  • Familiarity with data collection methods and analysis to inform decision-making processes.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and strategies for effective engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Public speaking experience is highly valued, as well as a background in business development or related fields.
