About the position
The Community Life - Activities Assistant (Therapeutic Recreational Assistant) at Consulate Health Care of Williamsburg is responsible for implementing and facilitating resident activities and recreational programs. This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for residents through engaging activities, fostering a supportive community environment, and collaborating with the Community Life Director to expand services.
Responsibilities
- Assist with resident activities, assessments, and activities profiles.
- Schedule movies, plan parties, and provide games/activities for residents.
- Encourage residents to participate in recreational social activities by organizing games, crafts, religious services, and parties.
- Assist the Community Life Director in expanding services.
- Provide innovative healthcare by creating and implementing new ideas and concepts to improve systems and processes.
Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Some experience preferred in providing recreation services to residents in a healthcare setting.
- Must possess a current unencumbered valid state driver's license.
