About The Position

Team Recovery is an addiction treatment center dedicated to supporting individuals affected by substance use and mental health disorders. We offer a full continuum of care, including inpatient detox, residential treatment, outpatient services, and recovery housing, designed to meet people where they are in their recovery journey. Our team is made up of professionals, many with lived experience, who understand the challenges of addiction and the power of connection. With a mission to improve lives and a vision to redefine treatment, we're committed to creating lasting change in the communities we serve. Team Recovery is more than a treatment center. We're a new approach to an old problem. The Community Liaison serves as the organization's primary field representative, responsible for cultivating strong community relationships, generating referrals, and maintaining a consistent presence across assigned regions. This role is essential to sustaining admissions growth through trust-based partnerships and effective collaboration.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • CPR certification required
  • Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, be 21 years or older, and be deemed insurable through Team Recovery's insurance carrier.
  • 2 years+ in healthcare operations, preferably in behavioral health or substance use treatment preferred.
  • Ability to travel state-wide if needed.
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned territories.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance processes, Medicaid guidelines, and level of care criteria.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • degree in related field preferred.
  • CDCA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with: Hospitals (case managers, social workers, discharge planners), Court systems (probation officers, caseworkers, legal partners), Community organizations across assigned counties, Other assigned agencies as assigned
  • Establish trust and credibility with referral sources to support long-term collaboration
  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual outreach to referral partners
  • Represent the organization at community events, networking meetings, recovery-focused events
  • Actively expand the organization's presence within the community
  • Respond promptly to referral inquiries
  • Coordinate closely with the admissions team to ensure a seamless admission and intake process
  • Support efforts to maintain consistent and qualified admissions flow
  • Serve as an educational resource for partners and the community on: Addiction and recovery, Mental health services, Accessing treatment and available resources
  • Promote awareness and reduce stigma through outreach and communication
  • Document all outreach activities, referrals, and partner interactions in relative systems
  • Monitor and report on referral trends and engagement outcomes
  • Identify new partnership opportunities within assigned territories
  • Escalate strategic opportunities to Business Development leadership
  • Provide market feedback and insights to support growth initiatives
  • Complete all other duties as assigned
