About the position

The Community Ed Youth Instructors for Boys Volleyball Coaches are responsible for coaching middle school students in volleyball as part of the Community School Programs. This role involves managing practices and games, ensuring student safety, and delivering the curriculum effectively during the volleyball season from April to May 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Coaching volleyball practices and managing games.
  • Ensuring student safety during practices and games.
  • Delivering the curriculum for Community School Programs for grades 6-8.
  • Performing other duties as assigned, including concussion training.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and complete assigned days.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices, materials handling, data functions, and people functions.
  • Must be physically present on site.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous volleyball playing and/or coaching experience.
  • Relevant work experience with community school activities.
  • Advanced training or college degree preferred for coach and assistant coach positions.
  • Previous experience working with middle school-aged students.

Benefits

  • Hourly pay of $17.78, dependent on qualifications.
