About the position

The Community Ed Youth Instructors - Boys Tennis Coaches position involves coaching middle school students in tennis as part of the Community School Programs. The role requires delivering curriculum, managing practices and matches, ensuring student safety, and fulfilling other assigned duties. This is an entry-level position focused on engaging with students in grades 6-8 during the tennis season.

Responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum for Community School Programs for Grade 6-Grade 8.
• Coach tennis practices and manage matches.
• Ensure student safety during practices and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including required concussion training.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in sports coaching.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance and complete assigned days.
• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
• Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices, materials handling, data functions, and people functions.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous tennis playing and/or coaching experience.
• Relevant work experience with community school activities.
• Advanced training or college degree in a related field.
• Previous experience working with middle school-aged students.
