About The Position

Developmental Services Center (DSC) provides comprehensive services across the lifespan-from birth through adulthood-including family development, case management, employment, residential, respite, and community day services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford Counties. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Fundamental computer skills, including general web browsing and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Sufficient physical stamina and mobility for lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive DSC van.

Nice To Haves

  • CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and HHA (Home Health Aides) are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through recreational activities, social events, educational groups, volunteering, and other areas of interest to enhance personal fulfillment and make greater connections with their community.
  • Develop and lead small groups based on the interests of program participants in the areas of recreation, education, and art.
  • Facilitate the development of hobbies and interests.
