About the position

As a Community Coordinator at Yoga International, you will play a pivotal role in building and supporting our online community. This hybrid position combines member engagement and support, utilizing various platforms and channels to foster connections within our broader Yoga International community and with our partners. Your responsibilities will include effective communication with members, responding to inquiries in a friendly and professional manner, and ensuring a delightful member experience in every interaction. You will also be tasked with developing a comprehensive understanding of our systems to support and quantify member satisfaction, as well as creating reports to track member issues and patterns. In addition to member support, you will be responsible for social media coordination and content creation. This involves crafting a social media strategy that aligns with our brand guidelines and content strategy, creating engaging and visually appealing content for social posts, and staying current on social media trends to identify growth opportunities. You will moderate social comments and collaborate with teachers and partners through social media, ensuring that our community remains engaged and informed. Your role will also encompass community coordination and engagement, where you will communicate effectively with prospective and current members across various platforms. This includes managing communication templates for social moderation and implementing strategies for community engagement. Your ability to merge creativity with technical skills will be essential in this role, as you will need to create content that resonates with our audience while also analyzing metrics to inform future strategies. Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively and respond to member inquiries in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Support initiatives and recommend changes to improve the end-to-end member experience.
  • Stay current on all product and content changes.
  • Foster a delightful member experience in every interaction.
  • Provide answers to clients by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding clients through corrective steps.
  • Become the expert to effectively handle billing issues including cancellation, refund, and past-due account requests.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of all systems used within the customer support team to support and quantify response and delight of our members.
  • Create a social media strategy that aligns with overall brand guidelines, content strategy, and paid strategy.
  • Create engaging, visually appealing, and brand-specific content for social posts, including writing and editing any audio/video and graphics needed for posts.
  • Moderate social comments for both organic and paid posts and ads.
  • Communicate in an engaging manner with prospective and current members across platforms.
  • Write and manage communication templates for social moderation across platforms.
  • Create and implement a strategy for social community engagement.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Mobile, app, and social media proficiency.
  • Experience in social content creation, including graphic design and basic video editing.
  • Community-oriented with a strong understanding of social psychology and behavior.
  • Knowledge of yoga and its principles.
  • Experience with Canva is a plus.
  • Experience with support software like ZenDesk Support and Chat is a plus.
  • Experience with Meta (Instagram, Facebook) is required; familiarity with Pinterest, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter) is a plus.
  • Interest in leveraging AI for efficiencies is a plus.
  • US citizenship or US residency with an existing work permit is required.
