About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of public areas within our establishment. Your commitment to hospitality and cleanliness will contribute significantly to our guests' experience, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable during their stay.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other common spaces.
- Ensure all surfaces are clean and sanitized, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
- Assist in setting up for events or meetings held in public spaces as needed.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock is low.
- Uphold a high standard of cleanliness and presentation in all public areas.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or custodial roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with housekeeping management practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to providing excellent service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to floor care and general cleaning practices.
