About the position

The Commissioning Authority at Glumac, A Tetra Tech Company, plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful commissioning of building engineering projects. This position involves working closely with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality commissioning services, focusing on sustainability and energy efficiency. The role offers the flexibility of hybrid work while contributing to meaningful projects aimed at combatting climate change.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field functional testing and create pre-functional and functional checklists.
  • Manage the commissioning process for assigned projects, including conducting commissioning meetings.
  • Perform field observations and document test results on the issue resolution log and commissioning report.
  • Engage in project management tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • PE license, Commissioning, Energy Management, or TAB certifications are a plus.
  • 5+ years of related industry experience.
  • Technical knowledge of MEP system design and operation, controls, and instrumentation.
  • Project management expertise, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
  • Proficiency in client-facing/client relationship/client management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs and lift/carry loads above 20 lbs.
  • Ability to be on a job site for extended periods (8-10 hours).
  • Valid driver's license and insurance for vehicle transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with commissioning software or ongoing commissioning tools.
  • Experience with mechanical and/or controls systems.
  • Mission-critical, Life Science experience.
  • Electrical experience.
