This is not simply our job, it's our passion. A Commis is an entry-level kitchen position responsible for assisting with food preparation and cooking tasks under the supervision of more senior chefs. They help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, as well as manage basic food storage and inventory. Commis chefs work closely with senior kitchen staff to learn and develop their culinary skills while ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Additionally, they assist in the smooth running of the kitchen by completing basic tasks quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks under the supervision of senior chefs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
  • Manage basic food storage and inventory.
  • Work closely with senior kitchen staff to learn and develop culinary skills.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.

Requirements

Nice-to-haves
