About the position

The Commercial Banker role within the Middle Market Banking team focuses on client acquisition and relationship management. This position is designed for individuals who are customer-oriented and enjoy providing financial advice. Bankers are responsible for growing and retaining profitable relationships in the Middle Market and Specialized Industries, leveraging a comprehensive suite of banking solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a culture of innovation and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships.
  • Find ways to further efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing innovative opportunities offered by new technologies.

Requirements

  • Five plus years direct lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships.
  • Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources.
  • Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree and formal credit training preferred.
  • Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Strong creative solution, problem-solving abilities, flexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, self-directed, proactive and creative.
