COMMERCIAL PRODUCER - WJHG

About the position

WJHG/WECP Northwest Florida's leading news stations seek a Commercial Producer in Panama City Beach, Florida. This individual must be hard-working, self-motivated, and creative. The candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have experience in non-linear editing and videography or photography. Basic working knowledge of PC's and Adobe Creative Cloud Platforms is necessary. This position will involve writing, shooting, and editing commercials for broadcast on WJHG, WECP, MeTV, My7, and Telemundo.

Responsibilities

• Write, shoot, and edit commercials for local television broadcasts.
• Shoot video for commercial productions, live in-the-field productions, and news/sports events when needed.
• Work with Media Executives and station clients to create effective and engaging commercial content for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Work closely with all other departments, particularly Sales and Traffic, to meet all daily demands.
• Periodically, monitor the on-air quality of station's program streams in Master Control.
• Ingest programming, commercials, and other broadcast elements for the station's five channels.
• Edit Daily Promos.
• Research video archives to produce electronic dubs of WJHG/WECP coverage.
• Training of new personnel as assigned.
• Assist the Operations Manager with various duties involving station improvements.

Requirements

• Must be able to work effectively under pressure.
• Must have excellent communication skills and get along well with co-workers.
• Must be available to work a variable schedule due to changing shifts, turnover, station projects, etc.
• Must be available to work a minimum schedule of 40 hours per week.
• Must hold a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

Nice-to-haves
