About the position

The Commercial Pro position at Advance Auto Parts is a professional-level sales role focused on supporting advanced functions within the commercial side of the business. This role is responsible for driving profitable growth through customer retention and expansion, while also managing team members in collaboration with the General Manager (GM). The position requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, as well as the ability to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Maintain commercial customer relationships
• Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
• Provide day-to-day supervisory support for Team Members
• Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs for Team Members
• Dispatch drivers ensuring delivery standards are achieved
• Maintain commercial stocking programs
• Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers
• Maintain core bank and commercial returns
• Maintain commercial credit accounts
• Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

Requirements

• Professional level sales experience
• Expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts
• Ability to source from various suppliers including special orders
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to multi-task and remain organized
• Basic math skills for inventory management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• ASE P2 certified or equivalent

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience with operating inventory systems and store equipment
• Advanced selling skills for commercial customers
