About the position

The position at Hardy Corporation involves working as a Certified Journeyman Plumber, focusing on the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in commercial structures. Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial structures.
  • Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other professionals during construction.
  • Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems, identifying and diagnosing plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.
  • Adhere to all plumbing building codes and regulations.
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards and follows best practices.
  • Review blueprints, drawings, building codes, and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
  • Train and manage less experienced plumbers and achieve significant improvements in their productivity.
  • Pipe fitting, soldering, brazing.
  • Install copper, PVC piping and set fixtures.
  • Cut, thread, fit pipes, valves, and caulking.

Requirements

  • Certified Journeyman Plumber with 2 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of various plumbing aspects including underground, overhead rough setting fixtures, water supply and drainage, gas, piping, and other plumbing systems.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Ability to operate equipment and tools of the trade.
  • Structured and organized leadership skills.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
  • Basic computer skills to communicate via email and document daily work progress.
