We are seeking a Commercial Fire/Intrusion Alarm Service Technician to join our National Accounts team. The Commercial Alarm Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, upgrading, service and maintenance of CCTV and fire and burglar alarm systems at various regional commercial retail locations across the Southern United States with several other regional locations likely. We seek self-motivated, and reliable technicians who are willing to travel and who are eager and willing to learn and grow.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Intrusion and Fire Alarm experience in a large commercial/retail setting.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
  • Able to operate different types of aerial man lifts is required.
  • State Alarm License or Certification is required for states who require individual technician licensing.
  • Must be able to obtain necessary licenses within 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Service experience in a large commercial/retail setting is preferred.
  • Previous troubleshooting experience with Bosch Fire/Burg Panels and Fire lite FACP is preferred.
  • Previous experience with systems used by large box retailers is a plus.
  • NICET Level 2 or ESA CAFT 2 or greater is preferred as a nationally recognized certification.

Responsibilities

  • Upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various CCTV and Fire/Burg Alarm Systems.
  • Pulling, identifying and terminating various cables including, but not limited to, coaxial, cat5 and cat 6 cable.
  • Be able to work independently without direct supervision and be able to effectively communicate to management regarding the progress of service tickets.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely use various types of man lifts and hand/power tools as well as being able to work from ladders, scaffolds or at heights above 25 feet.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while representing I.C.E. Contractors.
  • Will be responsible for service within a specified area or region based on location.
  • Some travel over longer distances will be required as work warrants.
