About The Position

Overhead Door Company of Akron is seeking a Commercial Estimator / Project Manager to join their Commercial Sales Team. This role involves estimating, project management, customer communication, and coordination to ensure successful and timely completion of commercial projects. The position requires working with contractors, facility managers, suppliers, and installation teams on projects involving various types of commercial doors and loading dock equipment. This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects, build customer relationships, and contribute to the success of a company serving Northeast Ohio businesses.

  • Valid driver's license meeting company insurability requirements.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites and project locations as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Construction, estimating, project management, or commercial building product experience preferred
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents is preferred.
  • Prior experience in estimating, project management, project coordination, construction, commercial sales, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience working with commercial garage doors, loading dock equipment, rolling steel doors, high-speed doors, construction products, or building materials is a plus.
  • Experience reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documents is a plus.
  • Experience working directly with contractors, facility managers, or commercial customers is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare estimates and quotations for commercial projects
  • Review plans, specifications, and project requirements
  • Coordinate projects from quote approval through installation
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers
  • Communicate schedules, timelines, and job readiness requirements
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and installation teams
  • Manage project documentation, submittments, and change orders
  • Help ensure projects stay on schedule and customers stay informed
