This position is crucial for managing the estimating process for a growing family-owned electrical contractor, focusing on delivering accurate estimates and building relationships with general contractors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Estimate projects (commercial and industrial - large and small)
• Complete estimates within bid date/time
• Work closely with the President and Project Manager
• Create and design/build estimates
• Value engineer projects
• Utilize company software (Vision Infosoft and AutoCad)
• Build relationships with general contractors
• Work effectively with customers, vendors, and electricians
• Follow up on proposals
• Analyze completed project costs
• Collaborate with the management team to develop company growth strategies
• Abide by company values: Quality, Efficiency, Passion, Confidence

Requirements

• Must have 2+ years commercial electrical estimating experience
• Some college preferred
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code
• Knowledge of design concepts
• Knowledge of electrical materials and wiring methods
• Knowledge in cost estimating
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
• Manage multiple estimates
• Accuracy in math/calculating skills
• Detail oriented and precise
• Ability to work in an office/desk environment
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proficient in MS Office/Adobe
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
