About The Position

American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for Class A Commercial Driver to assist our Distribution Division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers. JELD-WEN (NYSE:JELD), founded in 1960, is one of the world’s largest door and window manufacturers, with more than 10,000 employees operating in 14 countries globally. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, JELD-WEN designs, produces, and distributes an extensive range of interior and exterior doors, wood, vinyl and aluminum windows and related products for use in the new construction and repair and remodeling of residential homes and non-residential buildings.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of Class A driving experience
• Knowledge of Manual transmission
• Clean DMV Report
• Current CDL license preferred
• Good communication skills
• Good paperwork accuracy
• Good attendance history
• Positive outgoing attitude
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, goal oriented
• Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Ability to promote and maintain a TEAM atmosphere

Nice To Haves

• Mounted forklift experience a plus
• Knowledge of millwork products a plus

Responsibilities

• Make multiple routes.
• Provide Customer Service
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
• Deliver all material undamaged and on time
• Communicate customer service issues with operations and sales
• Assist in loading and offloading product from truck/trailer
