We Stand For Service is more than part of our name, it's our mission and our purpose. The Credit Analyst is responsible for performing the underwriting steps associated with commercial credits. The incumbent will prepare credit memorandums and other tasks associated with supporting Commercial Relationship Managers as well as assist in preparing commercial loan packages for approval and close. This role will spread financial information from financial statements or tax returns, review and analyze commercial credit and guarantor tax returns, and complete preliminary underwriting analysis. In addition, the Credit Analyst will also prepare credit memos to be submitted to the appropriate lending authority for approval, approve loans within credit authority and support the presentation of commercial loans for approval.

Responsibilities

  • Perform underwriting steps associated with commercial credits.
  • Prepare credit memorandums and assist Commercial Relationship Managers.
  • Prepare commercial loan packages for approval and close.
  • Spread financial information from financial statements or tax returns.
  • Review and analyze commercial credit and guarantor tax returns.
  • Complete preliminary underwriting analysis.
  • Prepare credit memos for submission to lending authority for approval.
  • Approve loans within credit authority.
  • Support the presentation of commercial loans for approval.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Background in finance and accounting for commercial loan underwriting and analysis.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of commercial credit review experience.
  • Experience using nCino is required.
  • General business and banking background.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel.
  • Independent thinker with collaboration skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
