Jefferson County Assessor’s Office is searching for an individual to join the Commercial Appraisal team. This role involves applying experience in writing narrative appraisal reports in a professional, standards-driven environment, working collaboratively with colleagues on complex appraisal issues, and contributing to public service by ensuring fairness and equalization in property valuations. The position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in Colorado statutory requirements for property valuation, gain exposure to various property types, and expand appraisal skill sets. The Commercial Appraiser will also present and defend appraisal conclusions in hearings before an impartial third party. The role involves representing the Assessor's Office in all levels of appeal hearings and working with owners, agents, and attorneys on the assessment and appeal process. The ideal candidate is an experienced Commercial Appraiser who holds a Certified General Appraisal License or is near completion, seeking to join a great team.
