About The Position

We are looking for a highly motivated Commercial Account Executive to drive new business growth across commercial and mid-market accounts. This is a hunter role. Success in this position requires a strong outbound mentality and the ability to proactively create opportunities rather than rely solely on inbound leads or SDR-generated meetings. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of generating their own pipeline, opening new doors, and consistently exceeding quota in a fast-paced SaaS environment. You are comfortable selling technical solutions, engaging both business and technical stakeholders, and managing multiple opportunities simultaneously. This role reports directly to the VP of Sales.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of quota-carrying B2B SaaS sales experience
  • Experience selling to technical buyers such as Developers, Engineers, Data Teams, Product Teams, Data Scientists, or Technical Leaders
  • Experience selling AI, machine learning, data infrastructure, analytics, or developer-focused products
  • Startup or high-growth company experience
  • Experience selling into commercial and/or mid-market organizations
  • Proven success in lead generation, prospecting, pipeline generation, negotiation, and closing new business opportunities
  • Strong technical curiosity and the ability to understand and articulate complex technology solutions
  • Experience managing proof-of-concept (POC) processes and driving opportunities through closure
  • Excellent presentation, listening, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and highly driven with a strong desire to win and succeed
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree required

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close for commercial and mid-market accounts
  • Focus primarily on hunting for new business by identifying, engaging, and converting prospective customers
  • Generate a significant portion of your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic account engagement
  • Consistently build and maintain a healthy pipeline to support quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Develop creative outbound strategies to penetrate target accounts and engage new buying centers
  • Own new logo acquisition efforts across commercial and mid-market accounts
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand customer challenges, business objectives, and technical requirements
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Nimble's technology and communicate its value to both technical and business audiences
  • Partner with Solutions Consultants to deliver compelling product demonstrations and proof-of-concept engagements
  • Develop and present tailored value propositions to technical and business stakeholders
  • Negotiate commercial terms and close new logo opportunities
  • Identify and close upsell and expansion opportunities within existing customer accounts
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and impeccable Salesforce hygiene on all active opportunities and customer activity
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success teams
  • Represent Nimble at customer meetings, industry events, and conferences as needed
