About the position

The On Premise Account Manager at Eagle Rock Distributing Company is responsible for maximizing the sales and marketing of supplier brands in assigned on-premise accounts. This role involves building strong relationships with key decision-makers, effective planning, selling, merchandising, and communication to achieve company and supplier objectives. The position operates out of Colorado Springs and requires a commitment to personal growth and development while supporting the company's mission and vision.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit products in a defined route area while operating a company vehicle.
  • Manage, rotate and maintain a neat inventory in each account.
  • Sell sufficient product inventory to eliminate out-of-stock situations.
  • Seek and develop positive working relationships with retail partners.
  • Identify new opportunities to grow the existing portfolio.
  • Develop and implement sales promotions to encourage distribution and product growth.
  • Establish a close working relationship with all retail partners.
  • Ensure marketing and sales support materials are displayed in each retail outlet.
  • Secure the best possible selling position for products including primary displays and coolers.
  • Conduct special promotions within accounts to increase brand sales.
  • Call on accounts to establish sales promotions through displays and samplings.
  • Maintain strong lines of communication with the Driver to execute daily duties and merchandising expectations.
  • Operate the company vehicle safely and according to policy.
  • Attend all required Company meetings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior sales experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in the beverage alcohol industry and/or distribution preferred.
  • Must be able to meet company MVR and insurability standards.
  • Exhibits a sense of urgency to achieve timely, quality results.
  • Effectively manages multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Works effectively individually or in a team environment.
  • Remains highly organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize product knowledge, sales techniques, and account characteristics.
  • Adheres closely to company policies and procedures and all relevant laws.
  • Communicates clearly, proactively, and effectively with co-workers, leadership, suppliers, and accounts.
  • Displays strong customer service skills.
  • Possesses strong attention to detail.
  • Exercises sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Takes initiative to complete regular responsibilities, assigned tasks, and achieve goals.
