About the position

This position supports the college's Social Media Marketing team in promoting the college's brand through social media platforms. This position provides hands-on experience in social content creation. The ideal candidate is creative, self-motivated and passionate about social media marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Attend campus events to capture content for social media platforms
  • Participate in on-camera appearances for social media content
  • Assist in brainstorming content ideas and ways to increase user engagement
  • Assist in researching industry best practices, trends and emerging social media platforms

Requirements

  • A current student at Macomb Community College taking AT LEAST 6 credit hours
  • Currently have a work-study award given by Financial Aid

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant course work and an interest in marketing/social media
  • Prior experience working as a social media assistant or coordinator
