About the position

The College Success Coach is responsible for developing and maintaining contact with prospective students to assist them in navigating the college admissions process, financial aid, and enrollment efforts. This role emphasizes relationship building with students, high school staff, and college administrators, focusing on ensuring a successful transition for first-year students and supporting their continued education.

Responsibilities

• Devote time to the ECU campus helping first-year students complete a successful first-year experience and return as sophomores.
• Greet and assist students during college tours from GEAR UP schools visiting ECU.
• Assist the OK GEAR UP Site Director in ensuring Ada and Noble Public Schools Seniors have a completed FAFSA on file.
• Present to all Ada High School and Noble High School Seniors during their Senior Year.
• Complete all required OK GEAR UP training and data entry.
• Report GEAR UP activities to the OK GEAR UP Grant Administrator and campus policies to the assigned ECU Supervisor.
• Attend required meetings and trainings, keeping the ECU supervisor updated on activities and absences.
• Foster good relationships on campus to assist GEAR UP in OKC.
• Attend the monthly general staff meeting of OK GEAR UP in OKC.
• Assist the OK GEAR UP Site Director in ensuring OK Promise students complete mandatory paperwork before deadlines.
• Support Concurrent enrolled students and encourage post-secondary education continuance.
• Collaborate with Coaches from SEOSU, NSU, ECU, UCO, and SWOSU.
• Promote all Oklahoma Public Colleges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience working in a college or school setting with knowledge of college admissions, financial aid, and enrollment processes.
