The department of kinesiology is seeking an engaging, innovative, non-tenure track college (clinical) assistant professor to join the Athletic Training faculty. This is a 9-month appointment. We are searching for a candidate who has a desire to contribute to enhanced delivery of program content, mentor graduate students both in academic and clinical education/patient-care settings, and support the delivery of curriculum in the Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program. Primary responsibilities of this position include teaching (potentially including separately contracted, summer teaching which is not included in base salary), and service to the department of kinesiology, the university and MSAT program. The selected candidate will teach professional athletic training education courses, and the focus in one or more of the following areas: prevention/acute care of injury and illness, assessment and diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions, immediate and emergency care, therapeutic interventions, or clinical education/experience. Additionally, the successful candidate will undertake some clinical responsibilities along with existing AT faculty to provide services to various university partners (dancers, rodeo, rugby, ROTC, etc) as part of clinical education experiences for MSAT students. This position will primarily advise and mentor graduate students in the MSAT program and serve on department, college, and university committees.
